Music and Coronavirus

music-and-coronavirus
2 April 2020

While the coronavirus (Covid-19) has been affecting the world for some time and continues to show negative effects, musiconline has searched for the positive effects of music, which can be part of the measures you take in such a process where the anxiety and stress threshold is high.

The coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China, with severe consequences that would bring daily life to a standstill in the region, continues its negative progress as an epidemic that has spread to more than 115 countries across Europe.

Thousands of people are quarantined around the world to control the coronavirus. The main measures recommended by experts are to be careful with hygiene rules (washing our hands frequently), keeping distance between us and other people, keeping out of contact and even staying out of our homes for a while.

In Italy, one of the countries most affected by the epidemic, it is promising to see people singing from balcony to balcony on such days and even accompanying them with their instruments. Musicians who post their cancelled concerts online at their homes also deserve a big round of applause.

While many people are looking for the formulas to deal with the isolated situation caused by the virus, our bond with music, which is an indispensable part of our lives, seems to be even stronger.

We have prepared a list of songs which we think will accompany you in this process, and which also attract attention with their video clips.

Some of the songs on our list;

Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra (BGKO) - Od Ebra do Dunava Live in Vilnius

Hindi Zahra - Silence

Beirut - Elephant Gun

Alt-J - Taro

Ashe - Moral of the Story

Billie Eilish - Six Feet Under | Sofar Los Angeles

Athena - Sen de Yap

As musiconline, we stress once again that instead of anxiety and panic, calm should be acted upon by carefully following the measures described. Don't forget to check out our blog post about online concerts , which is becoming a new stream on social media, before moving on to our spotify list, which we have prepared exclusively for this blog post. ;)
